Does the garage floor need to be level for this product to work?

If you are installing with adhesive, a leveling compound should be used to repair the floor before installation to ensure a good bond. For a loose lay application, the vinyl flooring can be unrolled over deteriorating concrete. The concrete floor should be clean and dry and larger damaged areas should be patched to provide a smooth substrate before installation. Over time the garage floor mat protector will conform to the subfloor, so the smoother the better.
