Does G‑Floor expand or contract depending on the weather?

Yes. G‑Floor is 100% polyvinyl in its construction and is prone to expansion and contraction due to temperature extremes. In free floating applications, adequate space must be provided for the mats to expand and contract. We recommend leaving a 1″ gap around the perimeter to allow for expansion and contraction. Adhering the flooring properly will mitigate expansion and contraction issues.
