How to Clean G-Floor Cheer and Gymnastics Mat
1. Daily Vacuuming
To remove dust, debris, hair, or tracked dirt from shoes, G-Floor Carpet Bonded foam mats can be vacuumed daily.
2. Spot Cleaning Spills or Stains
To remove stains, sweat, and avoid bacteria buildup, use mild soap and warm water to blot the area. For tougher stains, any standard carpet cleaner can be used.
3. Steam Cleaning
Using a steam cleaner with hot water extraction and a mild cleaning solution can clean the mat. Avoid soaps that can leave sticky residue. Kill bacteria with regular sanitizing. For sanitizing, consider a bleach solution (1:100 ratio bleach to water). Remove hook tape between mats before cleaning with bleach, as bleach solutions can discolor hook tape. Be sure to add an extra rinse to eliminate any issues with bleaching material and to remove the bleach smell. Thoroughly vacuum up the water and use fans to help dry the carpet.
